Refugees Welcome Crawley stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people through the terrible suffering currently being inflicted on them and will do its part in welcoming Ukrainian refugees who arrive in the local area.

Refugees Welcome Crawley (RWC) is not collecting aid for Ukraine as our charity’s objectives are to support refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants in the Crawley area from Ukraine or any other country they have fled, whether due to war, persecution or other life-threatening situation.
How you can help:
We continue to collect clothes, shoes, toiletries and other essential items for all local refugees in need. Email us for details of drop-off points in Crawley.

The UK government Homes for Ukraine scheme is now live. Information and ‘How to Register’ as an individual or organisation can be found on the link below:

Someone is eligible for the scheme if they are a Ukrainian national or the immediate family member of a Ukrainian national, and were resident in Ukraine prior to 1 January 2022. We will welcome as many arrivals as possible, based on the number of sponsors. People arriving under this scheme will be able to: Live and work in the UK for up to three years
Access healthcare, benefits, employment support, education, and English language tuition
RWC notes that the information also states: Named individuals can offer residential rooms or unoccupied self-contained residential units to a specific person or people, and charities, NGOs may be able to help you to make contact with a named person. In the future we will work to help organisations to also sponsor individuals, but we are starting the first phase of the scheme with named individual contacts.
RWC cannot currently link you with a Ukrainian person to sponsor through the Homes For Ukraine scheme though this may change as the scheme evolves.
The Ukraine Family Scheme allows applicants to join family members or extend their stay in the UK. It is free to apply.
